Mariagaard Sports Hall – Renovation & Expansion
The 1958 sports hall of Mariagaard has a solid and functional structure, full of daylight, but it is ready for a new chapter. Rather than demolishing, we upgrade and expand with respect for the existing building, budget, and future needs.
Renovation with respect: façade and roof insulation, new aluminium windows, fresh finishes, and modern technical installations ensure comfort, energy efficiency, and durability.
Welcoming entrance: a transparent new front façade and reorganized hall create clarity, accessibility, and a vibrant central meeting space.
Upgraded facilities: spacious locker rooms, flexible storage, and new technical rooms support both pupils and staff.
A hall full of energy: a bright new sports floor, acoustic ceiling, LED lighting, and new HVAC breathe life into the hall.
Smart extension: a rhythmics and multi-sports hall completes a compact “sports strip,” linking gym and sports hall seamlessly, with future potential for additional classrooms.
Efficient phasing: the works can be executed while the hall largely remains in use, avoiding unnecessary downtime.
The result: a flexible, sustainable, and inspiring sports complex, ready to serve Mariagaard for the next 50 years.
