BEL proposes a unique ring shape for the Cheongna city tower. The ring will emphatically define the Incheon skyline and create a window connecting the mountains and Seoul in the background with the sea and the airport. Its iconic form will not only be simple and elegant but being a ring it will also be a universal symbol standing for origin, birth, potential, totality, completeness, continuity and eternity. The building will offer an endless circuit of entertainment and leisure to its visitors. Sports enthusiasts may walk up the staircases, crawl through a grotto and conquer a climbing wall to reach the top floor with its panoramic bar 450 m high. Businesspeople may meet in the conference room, sign contracts and smoke cigars to celebrate the deal in the oyster bar. Romantics may carry their lovers all the way up to the panorama floor, propose to them there, go down to the wedding temple and spend their honeymoon in the tower’s luxurious hotel suites. And once a year there will be the Incheon Tower marathon. Runners will run 42 rounds through the circle and the winner will be famous all over the world!
